Great Antiquity of “Hamdan” and “Zanjan” province of the Iran

In ancient times Hamdan city was known as “Ecbatana” or
Hangmetane means the place of gathering. City was found by Havkshtra the great king of Median dynasty.
Madan,Hebrews,Arab and Aram tribes were relatives of each other were living together in Syrian desert. Only Aram tribe had their own script but this script didn't get royal touch or kingship yet. Median king “Havakshtra” the great had made this script as royal script of his empire.
Out of those tribes Madan tribe was closely associated with Arab tribes. Many Arabic people were settled in Hamdan city and learnt alphabets there. Later they developed their own "Arabic" script from Aramaic script.
Ancient name of Zanjan city in Iran was “khamesh”. This city was ruled by “Zanje” tribe which was sub-tribe of Madan tribe. Later in 6th century Iran was conquered by Arab's and they changed name of two cities to Hamdan and Zanjan in memory of their relatives Madan and Zinje tribe. Hamdan is very respectful word for the Arabs. Zanj is also an Arabic word. Zanjan is the most happiest province today & had a rich history.
