Why he was not known to people before 20th century


If Chanakya was really there then he must be mentioned in inscription of at least any single ruler born after him.In Junagadh inscription of Saka king Rudradamana Chandragupta and his grandson Ashoka is mentioned as Mauryas but not any single word about so called Chanakya was written, the people who now say that Ashoka is fictitious must know this inscription.Later Guptas must have written separate inscription in the honor of of such a great personality like Chanakya and would have made numerous statues to remain his memory forever generations.But any of this was not happened

There are total 108 exogamous groups (clans) of Dhangars found all over India.These clans found Three and half main sub divisions due to division of labour among brothers of one family(एक ही परिवार के सदस्यो में काम का विभाजन हो गया).These are Shepherds(Hatti/Hatkar,Pal,Kuru/Kuruba,Gadariya etc..),Cow herders/Ahir (Yadu and Gawali) or Buffalo keepers(Mahaskar/Gurjar/Gujjar) and wool and blanket weavers (Khutekar,Sangar and Shegar).The half division is butchers(Khatik).All sub sects fall in either of these division.The number three and half is not random selection but has a religious and cosmological significance.
