Masal clan have origin from Mudiraja-Koli(Fisherman) of Ancient Sumeria.Mudiraja-Koli have origin from Pundra Dhanagrs.Chalukya(Solanki),Kakatiya/Kakade,Shelar/Shilahar,Zhanje etc..clan in Dhangars are the clans of the great Mudirajas.Coorg(Kodava) people of south India also have origin from Mudirajas. Nagar Brahmins and Abhir/Ahir- Kalchurya also have origin from Ancient Hatti and Sumerian peoples. Hatkeshwar-Mahadev is the Kuldaivat of Nagar Brahmins.Ancient Sumerians were Shiva and Mother goddess worshipers .Eklingji and Bhawani are the Family deities(Kuldevata) of Gahlot Rajputs of Mewar.

There are total 108 exogamous groups (clans) of Dhangars found all over India.These clans found Three and half main sub divisions due to division of labour among brothers of one family(एक ही परिवार के सदस्यो में काम का विभाजन हो गया).These are Shepherds(Hatti/Hatkar,Pal,Kuru/Kuruba,Gadariya etc..),Cow herders/Ahir (Yadu and Gawali) or Buffalo keepers(Mahaskar/Gurjar/Gujjar) and wool and blanket weavers (Khutekar,Sangar and Shegar).The half division is butchers(Khatik).All sub sects fall in either of these division.The number three and half is not random selection but has a religious and cosmological significance.
