Origin of Satvahan

Aitaraeya Brahmana mentions the Andhras as a tribe beyond the borders of Aryan civilization. It groups the Andhras with other, non-Aryan dasyu tribes like the Savaras, Pulindas, and Mutibas. Likewise, the Samanta Pasadika mentions both Andhras and Tamils as non-Aryan "mlecchas".
As per Aitaraeya Brahaman, one day Vishwamitra got enraged and cursed his fifty sons that “They shall become shudra and shall seek shelter of Pundra’s, Aundra’s, Shabar and Mutibs, the shudra kings of southern India. In alternative version it is stated that his son went to south and formed Pundra, Aundra(Satvahan) and other dynasties.
