Hindush satrapy
Hindush was the Satrapy of the Achaemenid Provinces during the rule of Persian king Darius I.
Indian Mauryans (Hindush) are known to have successfully defeated the Greeks and regained the large region from Greeks that was conquered by Alexander the Great and extended there empire from region Sindhu(Hindu) as there center point up to Persia(Iran) to the west of Sindhu, Kalinga to the east,Afghanistan to the north and Karnataka to the south of the Sindhu.Palibothra was the capital city of the Mauryans at the border of India(Greek:Indus)/Sindhu/(Persian:Hindu) and Iran.Palibhothra was the biggest city of India and world power during Maurayns period.Greek ambassador Megasthenes explained glory of Mauryans and Palibhothra in his book Indica during his stay at India for 8 years
