चित्पावन  ब्राह्मण और अग्निवंश 

चित्पावन का मतलब है अग्नि से पावन होनाI शकों और यूरेशियन ब्राह्मणों को विदेशी समझकर यज्ञ करके उन्हें हिन्दू धर्म में प्रवेश दिया गया थाI

सरगरा और चालुक्य प्राचीन अग्निवंशी क्षत्रिय हैI इनका जन्म यज्ञकुंड से हुआ हैI सुळ और खरात चालुक्य वंश के हैI

यज्ञ के बाद मौर्य से प्रतिहार(परमार/पंवार),सरगरा से चौहान, सुळ से सरक और सोलंकी, और खरात से परिहार की उत्पत्ति हो गईI

The Solanki and the Chalukyas of the later period are the same. The original word may be Sulik which was found similar to Chulik, meaning the palm, by the Brahman Priest at the Mount Abu fire sacrifice. Therefore, it was given out that the Chalukyas were born from the Palm (Chuluk)/ हथेली/तळहात of Brahma.

A grant of a Dharasen II of Vallabhi, mentions the Saulkikas, along with PratiSarakas, and Churoddharanikas. The last two words may be the forerunners ( पूर्वज) of Pratihara and Chaudhari (Two titles) respectively. This inscription edited By J.F. Fleet is dated in the 252 of Gupta era. Upendar Thakur, rightly identifies them with the Hunas of whom they were a part .The people called Chulik are still found in Central Asia.

About 108 clans(108 कुळ/कुल) of Dhangars and 22 sub castes (22 पोट जाती).

There are total 108 exogamous groups (clans) of Dhangars found all over India.These clans found Three and half main sub divisions due to division of labour among brothers of one family(एक ही परिवार के सदस्यो में काम का विभाजन हो गया).These are Shepherds(Hatti/Hatkar,Pal,Kuru/Kuruba,Gadariya etc..),Cow herders/Ahir (Yadu and Gawali) or Buffalo keepers(Mahaskar/Gurjar/Gujjar) and wool and blanket weavers (Khutekar,Sangar and Shegar).The half division is butchers(Khatik).All sub sects fall in either of these division.The number three and half is not random selection but has a religious and cosmological significance.
