वैदिक आणि अवैदिक पुरोहित


वैदिक काळात भारतात मंदिराचा एक हि पुरावा मिळत नाही. परंतू तुर्की या देशात मात्र ८००० वर्षांपूर्वीचे मंदिराचे पुरावे मिळतात.
There was no evidence of temple found in ancient Indian but it was found in ancient Turkey. Evidence of 8000 years old temple is found in excavation carried out at "Gobekli Tepi" of Turkey.

About 108 clans(108 कुळ/कुल) of Dhangars and 22 sub castes (22 पोट जाती).

There are total 108 exogamous groups (clans) of Dhangars found all over India.These clans found Three and half main sub divisions due to division of labour among brothers of one family(एक ही परिवार के सदस्यो में काम का विभाजन हो गया).These are Shepherds(Hatti/Hatkar,Pal,Kuru/Kuruba,Gadariya etc..),Cow herders/Ahir (Yadu and Gawali) or Buffalo keepers(Mahaskar/Gurjar/Gujjar) and wool and blanket weavers (Khutekar,Sangar and Shegar).The half division is butchers(Khatik).All sub sects fall in either of these division.The number three and half is not random selection but has a religious and cosmological significance.
