Initially all human being was nomadic but those who maintained"blood purity"(class endogamy or marriage among warrior class exclusively) strictly, dedication towards war skill for "thousands" of year and most important is sacrification have given greatest warriors to India(Note:It doesn't mean that other caste are impure by blood but every caste has its own speciallity).

There are total 108 exogamous groups (clans) of Dhangars found all over India.These clans found Three and half main sub divisions due to division of labour among brothers of one family(एक ही परिवार के सदस्यो में काम का विभाजन हो गया).These are Shepherds(Hatti/Hatkar,Pal,Kuru/Kuruba,Gadariya etc..),Cow herders/Ahir (Yadu and Gawali) or Buffalo keepers(Mahaskar/Gurjar/Gujjar) and wool and blanket weavers (Khutekar,Sangar and Shegar).The half division is butchers(Khatik).All sub sects fall in either of these division.The number three and half is not random selection but has a religious and cosmological significance.
