Hatti,Gurjar,Pala etc..are the title honoured to people of same ethnic groups of cattel Herders/Pashupalak.These titles further became seperate Dhangar sub castes because in India cattel herders are known as Dhangar.
Pala was the state in Hatti empire.
Gurjaria/Georgia is the name of the country derived from Gurjar.
Most of the Hatkar and Gurjars don'consider themselves as a Dhangar and still call themselves by these titles.
In prakrit langauge Kshatriya are called as Khattiy or Khatti or Hatti.Hatti rose in power in West Euresia before 4000 years.Hatti found an arostcratic class of kshatriyas and built powerful Hatti/Hittite empire.
Gurjar and Pala became prominent in India after first century.At that time Hatti,Gurjar and Pala were considered as high class kshatriys.After 12th century Rajput became prominent in India.
Sanskrit word Gurjar means destroyer of the enemy.
Pala means protector.

Pahalvan was the title honoured to Iranian brave warriors.
