Central Asian Haplogroup R1a1 which is supposed to be branch of Indo-Aryans has also been found in several South Indian Dravidian-speaking Adivasis including the Chenchu (26%) and the Valmikis of Andhra Pradesh and the Kallar of Tamil Nadu suggesting that R1a1 is widespread in Tribal Southern Indians (Kivisild 2003) and Mnipuri (50%) tribal group.
